We have been doing workshops for more than 14 years. Vicki Stanwycks has been a commercial photographer for more than 23 years, shooting commercial advertising, aerial, models, industrial, corporate, events - people, places and things.
She also owned a Gallery on Magazine Street for a few years knowing how to create all kinds of images for commercial use and for fine art. She has traveled extensively all over the United States and Europe, for commercial assignments and personally.
Since 2010 she has also become a life coach and incorporates that into her classes and workshops to help you bring out the best in your images. Photography and Cameras are always evolving, she has a great knowledge of Mirrorless Cameras and the latest technologies. She offers workshops and classes for individuals and small groups.

Beginning Photography & Coaching

Photography Workflow and Digital Processing
You have shot all these images and you have to do something with them so you can work with them to make prints, organize them, and edit the images to make them look good. However, you don't know how.
You may know some of what to do, read books, watched You Tube, but it's not making a whole lot of sense - as the person in the video is talking fast. We can help you make sense of it in our Photography workflow/Processing classes. You will have a much better understanding of the software and the terminology and "how to," get more from your images. On - Location Photography, Working with Exposure, Color & Light
In order to create an image, we need light... We cover the basics of light and how to see, measure and track the light. This workshop is for the natural light enthusiast who respects and loves the landscape and realizes that light has many aspects - from exposure and color, to capture.
This workshop brings your photography to the Next Level, better images. Knowing light and how to manipulate it, see and track the light will make all the difference to your images. Anyone can shoot a picture, it's what we do with the light that makes all the difference to the quality of the image. We can show you how. this will help you in the long run as it will save you time in the editing process.
The Artist Within
Attendees should bring to these classes/workshops their camera and gear, laptop and software that they use for their Photographs.
Please bring at least 35 of your latest images so we can look at where you are now. There will be life coaching sessions, discussions, writing exercises, shooting at various locations, possible computer processes demonstrations.
We will create images together based on your discovery and coaching sessions. Be prepared to talk about various subjects as realized through the creative process.

Photography Classes and Coaching, we love to help our clients make better Photographs.
Whatever you choose when working with us we want to help you be better with your camera and how you use it. We believe in starting form the basics as a foundation.
One can read many books on photography and until you have someone standing there with you and telling you why it is or isn't working, you won't get it as quickly as you may think.
Besides all that we make your experience with us fun and memorable as we shoot in your desired locations. We try to make it interesting and your images will be a direct result.

Beginners Understanding of Photography; Light, Exposure, Composition, and so much more...
The Beginners Photography Classes
If you choose to take Beginners Photography Classes, each class is 2 to 2.5 hours long, with 2 classes. There is an additional class available for beginners editing on the computer if you choose to add that to your classes.
We start your class discuss how the camera sees and uses light to create an image. Then look more closely at the camera, buttons, menu's, exposure, etc. We talk about editing, composition, light, color, black and white and your Photography shooting goals.
Shooting Images to Post Production
The Beginners Weekend Workshop
In this Workshop we spend the whole weekend dedicated to getting you more comfortable with your camera.
We have a class to begin and discuss the camera and light, and address your questions and ideas. Then venture off to shoot and create photographs on location. Vicki Stanwycks is with you every step of the way working with you to create images and answer your questions while shooting. The next day we have class, shoot for a few hours, there is a break for lunch and work with the images you have created and address how to edit. It makes for a very good weekend.
Classes, Critiques and Workflow
Weekend Workshops give you more concentrated time to hone your photography skills using classes, and shooting - by looking at what you've done while shooting, then following a critique of your work.
Much learning can be received by looking and seeing what might have done differently which sparks more questions and more learning.
Starting the Creative Process
Being creative for self satisfaction, feeling good, and excited about what you want to accomplish takes motivation and a clear mind.
The creative process is different for everyone. Taking a workshop is focused on you, to help figure out what you want to do with your photography, your Photographic Journey.
